WEEK 7-10 | Making a Film: Creativity is Practice Making Fi

So, this month was a major drag to my psyche. I've gotten only HALF way through the 1st draft and I've bogged down to a crawl. Between working 14-16 hr days and not believing in myself. I took a major hit this month in progress. But, this is ok. This is something we all go through. I managed to find inspiration to remind me this is part of the process. The biggest inspirations are linked below!

Week 5 & 6 | Making a Film: Measure Twice Write Once

This is week 5-6 of getting a no-budget film made this year and I accomplished nearly NOTHING! But, it's not a loss! It's never a loss when you move even centimeters closer to your end goal! Long work days are keeping tired but I've finished my 40 beats (with actually MORE than 40 beats) and JUST started writing the script! So, the needle moved. Ever so slightly but it moved.

WEEK 4 | Making a film: Beat Sheet Cheat Sheet!

This is week 4 of getting a no-budget film made this year and I had a bit of a hard time concentrating on making a beat sheet. So I took note of other films. Literally. I wrote the beats of other films and this helped me "see" where my parts of the film would go.

WEEK 3 | Making a Film Writing: the 1st Treatment

This is week 3 of getting a no-budget film made this year and this week wasn't hard since I have a bit of experience doing writing lots of treatments over the years. This is pretty much how I write all of my treatments, I hope this helps some of you

Week 2 | Making a Film: Log Lines and Short Synopsis

This is week 2 of getting a no-budget film made this year and this week was a bit harder. Don't let that stop you! This week I got a lot of help from the following references as well as an email from Noam Kroll.

Week 1 | Making a Film: 100 concepts

This is the week 1 of getting a no-budget film made this year and I'm pretty stoked! Hopefully, I'll be able to see this through!   I'm working through Noam Kroll's "The Backlot" in the film incubator and this has been an interesting first week.
